Train to Retain: SANE Expansion in the Upper Midwest Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Training Project

  1. Train to Retain is a federal grant project that provides training and support to forensic nurse examiners (FNEs)/sexual assault nurse examiners (SANEs) in the Midwest. The project is based out of Hennepin Healthcare in Minneapolis, MN.
  2. The project is designed to support all aspects FNE/SANE training, including Adult, Pediatric, and IPV didactic classes; Adult and Pediatric Skills Labs; Mock Court; SANE-A or SANE-P Certification exam scholarship and study group; special topics webinars; and more.
  3. Any RN who is interested in working as a forensic nurse or already-practicing FNEs/SANEs who wish to increase their knowledge and skills are welcome to participate.
  4. There is no cost to participate, and the only obligation is to be an active participant and follow through will all commitments to complete trainings.
