Train to Retain: SANE Expansion in the Upper Midwest Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Training Project

- Train to Retain is a federal grant project that provides training and support to forensic nurse examiners (FNEs)/sexual assault nurse examiners (SANEs) in the Midwest. The project is based out of Hennepin Healthcare in Minneapolis, MN.
- The project is designed to support all aspects FNE/SANE training, including Adult, Pediatric, and IPV didactic classes; Adult and Pediatric Skills Labs; Mock Court; SANE-A or SANE-P Certification exam scholarship and study group; special topics webinars; and more.
- Any RN who is interested in working as a forensic nurse or already-practicing FNEs/SANEs who wish to increase their knowledge and skills are welcome to participate.
- There is no cost to participate, and the only obligation is to be an active participant and follow through will all commitments to complete trainings.
