Hennepin Healthcare Adult/Adolescent Clinical Skills Lab – 2 DAY
The Train to Retain 2-day Clinical Skills Lab that allows nurses to practice forensic nursing skills in a supportive environment with standardized patients. The first day includes sessions on medical history taking and care planning, head-to-toe assessment with photography, and evidence collection. The second day allows nurses to practice two full exams in a simulated environment with standardized patients with responsive feedback from both the instructor and the standardized patient.
RE Lab offers an Advanced Clinical Skills training (1 day) that builds on foundational clinical skills, and includes interactive workshops as well as simulated interviews, head to toe assessments, and photograph with trained Standardized Patients. Learn more, see dates, and register here.
RE Lab also offers a SANE Case Practice and Workshop (2 days) that allows SANEs to conduct all of the main portions of a SANE exam with trained Standardized Patients, working through one case each day with a small cohort of fellow SANEs. Learn more, see dates, and register here.
